We had a very nice meal here. Chicken Teriyaki was especially good, and the pork chop a tad peppery for my taste. Broccoli was al dente. We'll be back! And yes, the Green River was actually brown. What else would you expect?
Nice clean restaurant with riverside dining on the Green River. Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. A pleasant surprise in the Utah Desert. Try one of their omellets for breakfast or a Rib-eye steak for dinner. Good food! Friendly service.
Best restaurant in Utah!! OK, OK, I admit that the award is based
on sampling only eight restaurants in Utah (two of which were in
National Parks and barely rose above mediocrity), but the meal we
had here was a delight. The staff was very pleasant, the service was
good and the food was very well cooked. My wife and I had steak,
and while they were't the greatest steaks we've ever had,
they were very good. I've paid a lot more for a lot worse in
a lot more famous restaurants. Our son had pasta, and it was
nicely al dente with a nice sauce. Good salad bar with local
produce, nice desserts, and very reasonable price. Restaurant
is right on the east bank of the Green River, with a nice view over
After spending all day in Arches NP, and on the drive to Torrey, we found a golden gem in Green River, Utah. We drove the main street twice, I checked reviews online and we went with Tamarisk right on the Green River banks. We were still unsure, since we were before the dinner rush and no one was really at the restaurant (maybe 4 groups of people). We were given a window table over looking the river.
We got our drinks very quickly and out came a warm bread loaf with butter and honey. We destroyed the loaf of bread, and our food came shortly after we finished the bread. I ordered the Navajo Flat Bread salad (taco salad on an Indian fry bread), my spouse had the Steak and the kids shared the 4pc fried chicken dinner. Everyone loved their food and it was probably the best food of our entire vacation.
I am not sure if the other reviews are for the same place, but this place is great. BTW When we left every seat was full and there were 12+ people waiting to be seated. This is clearly the it spot for Green River.
