Horrible. I get dragged here once in a while by other family members. Another tough steak tonight with no flavor but tons of grizzle. The waitress had a personality better suited for a prison warden. I can t believe the prices either. Way too high!!! NEVER AGAIN no matter who thinks it s a good idea.
We have dined at the Timermine four or five times per year for the last 25 years. We have never had a bad meal. These people really know how to age a quality steak as well as how to prepare it. We've paid more than double the price for comparable meals in fancy restaurants in Las Vegas, New York, and San Francisco. The atmosphere at the Timbermine is so incredible throughout the entire enormous facility that you could spend hours walking through gazing at the collection of antiques that bring the old west alive all over again. It's so cool that you hope that they don't seat you right away so you will have time to wander around and look at everything. Don't believe the negative critics.
My boyfriend and I were not impressed by the food or the prices. We both had a tenerloin steak that had a lot of fat running through it and was flavorless. I also had the King crab that was overcooked and very fishy tasting. For the prices the Timbermine is charging the food should be a lot better, and I don't think it is somewhere we would choose to eat again. The service was just average, nothing outstanding there either. I would not recommend the Timbermine.
This place has the best steak I have ever had! It was tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned and cooked. For that I have to give them five stars. The crab legs were great too and the seasonal veggies all went together great. The only thing I could ask for is a larger dinner menu. The price is kind of high though it was worth every penny.
Wow... I can't remember what steak I had. I believe it was the TBone. Whichever it was it was the biggest they had on the menu and indeed it was a big steak. Really good taste, excellent quality. I ordered a few appetizers and everything was great. Talk about atmosphere! lol I love the feel to this restaurant. As soon as you open the front door you know you're in for a treat. I love how it's dark in the dining area and the booths are all situated in a send where you feel secluded from everyone. It was great and very fun dining experiance. Living in Connecticut I wish we had something like the Timbermine here.
Best steak house in town. My favorite been eating there 15 years and its always GREAT. Nice place for Romantic dinner or just a dinner with friends or kids. Can feed 2, drinks, dinner and appetizer for around 50-60 dollars.
The whole place is very cool. The wash basins filled with lights and decorations were my favorite - you'll see when you get there. Very rustic, enjoyable atmosphere, and the food is fabulous. If you like steak cooked right and all the fixin's, this place is a must.
