Roof Restaurant, Salt Lake City

I ate here with my family in October of 2005. The food was pretty good but it was expensive. It's a very conservative atmosphere full of mormon temple patrons. The view is nice and the girl playing the piano did a great job. The overall feeling is of a conservative nature. If your a dentist, mormon, and a republican this buffet is for you. I just felt like I was on my honeymoon and my parents were in the same bedroom with a video camera taping our first night together.

This is my whole families favorite place to eat in downtown SLC! Everything is awesome!

We really love the food and the overall environment. It is really an awsome place to visit for special ocassion with whole family. I try to take my family at least once a year for events such a birthday or graduation, or some other event that is special to us. My kids always want to go there, but the costs are on the high side, but not prohibitively so, when considered in totality. However, something like a coupon valued $5 off per person would, I believe go along way towards making a significant difference in the way we go for dine outs. It also would take some of the guilt off us. I have referred Roof to many of my friends and asked them to give it a shot at least once. Some did and they were also happy that they did it. I am planning to be there perhaps this year of early next year. WE really LOVE it!! I also use it as way to bribe my children for going the extra mile to achice a level of performance that I consider superb. It has worked pretty well, so far. This is a great place to enjoy a relaxing dinner at your own leisure, and enjoy a great view of temple square.

This place is the best. The food is delicious with so much variety. The ambiance is so romantic. The food, service and experience is definitely worth the cost. We love this place and already have plans to go back.

The food was great, service amazing. I would go back in a heartbeat. It is great romantic date idea, since the room is surrounded with windows overlooking SLC, live music playing and of course very wonderful food.

Classy atmosphere, beautiful views of Salt Lake City and the temple, delicious food and fabulous desserts. It's a little bit of paradise!

I loved the view and the atmosphere. The selection and quality of food is top-notch. Better seats with a view for parties of two, in general.

We went for our anniversary. The setting was beautiful. Soft piano music playing in the background, and overlooking the Christmas lights at Temple Square made it perfect. The food was excellent and there was an ecclectic variety; everything from shark to prime rib!
