The Bayou, located in the heart of Salt Lake City, prides itself on arguably the best beer selection in Utah. They have over 300 varieties of local brews, Scottish ales and Belgian stouts on offer. Complement a chilled pint with Cajun specialties like beef taquitos, chicken wraps and jalapeno poppers. In addition to the laid-back vibe and award-winning menu, weekends at this bar play host to entertaining live gigs by regional and touring bands.
This place was awesome! If you only drink beer (no liquor) this is your heaven! The beer list is amazing for Utah bars. Not everything is on draft, there are a lot of bottles, they do have liquor too.
We did wait a while for a table on Friday night which was ok because we still had beer while we were waiting. We sat outside on the deck area, which was heated so it wasn't too bad. We didn't eat dinner but we had the deep fried twinkies and they were really good.
The band was really loud but as long as you don't sit too close to it you can still have reasonable conversation.
Best place I've found in Utah for a more diverse crowd of people, wonderful Belgium beers, yummy appetizers and authentic southern entrees, clean restrooms, and the best place to kick up a fun pool game with a total stranger. Highly recommended!
Ok over 300 beers from around the world! Live music! a patio! Good appetizers! Pool tables! T.v's to watch the games.... What else could ya ask for? Favoritve beers are Black and tan ,Captian bastard AND DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT EATING THOSE * SWEET POTATA FRENCH FRIES* mmmm
I drag every friend I have down to The Bayou...it is a warm, friendly environment, with great Jazz evenings...and a friendly staff. The fries are...addicting...find myself craving them...so call some friends and take them out for a beer, some pool, great food and atmosphere!
The Bayou is a great place to go after work to unwind. It's located in downtonw Salt Lake and serves over 200+ beers from local brewers all the down to Zurich. They also have a full bar. The food has a cajun kick to it and is fantastic. Every Friday and Saturday night they have a live jazz band that plays that adds to the overall downsouth pub ambience.
Across from The Bakery you will find over a 1000 wine varieties in approximately 30,000 bottles. Since Utah liquor laws
prevent hard alcohol from being sold anywhere else (such as grocery stores), this is the place to come. Categorized ...
