Who would have believed it? A master sushi chef in the heart of the Rocky Mountains! Takashi is a genius with a sushi knife, and the Tiger W Roll is not to be missed. In addition to sushi, this restaurant features a variety of traditional Japanese cuisine served by lovely, kimono-clad waitresses. A combination of conventional seating and Japanese low tables make the atmosphere cozy and comfortable. Imported beer and saki are available.

Simply this place is amazing! If you really really wanna try what its like real food then it is a simply best place! And most important thing is they have really good atmosphere too! Just go and see it instead of reading!

This place is awful! I saw with my own eyes how the Mongolian sushi chef who works there dropped a piece of fish on the floor and PICKED it UP and put it in the roll! I'll never go there again!!!!! It's nasty! I dont want to die from fish poisoning....

The service was very slow. During our wait i had to use the bathroom. One look at the bathroom and i didn't have to go anymore. Got back to the table and after another....oh, 30 mins. or so we left without eating.

i love the shogun! their weekend happy hours are the best and so much fun to go out to with friends. their vegas rolls are to die for

My neighbors told me this was the best place in Salt Lake? I beg to differ...The service was slow, the sushi was good, but nothing special. The rolls were small, the Nigri sushi had lots of rice and very little fish on top....The place is a bit run down, and old...The bathroom was a bit scary...I would not recommend this place, unless you are on a serious budget.

Great restaurant overall, I love their authentic sushis, it's probably my #1 in SLC, the food can be pricy though, try go there Fri/Sat nights during the happy hours when the sushis are half priced and see if you like it. my #1 sushi bar in town.

Very anthentic Japanese food owned by a Japanese owner. Although our orders went to other ppl's table, it was all good.
