Rusted Sun Pizzeria, Salt Lake City

We are regulars at this restaurant because it is, quite simply, the best pizza we've ever had. We love the calzones. The sauces (marinara and alfredo) are divine, the dough is perfect and the cheese is sinful - not to mention, they have the nicest staff around. Delicious!

Hands down the best calzone in salt lake and possibly the best in the US. I moved to California a few years ago and found that the only food I missed was the pizza (especially the calzones) from Rusted Sun. The ingredients are all fresh, the sauce is amazing, and the crust is perfect. While the prices are a bargain given the food's high quality. Also the service is consistently excellent. Wally, the owner, has a great attitude and makes pizza to match. The store is a little small, so don't take a big group or get it to go if there are more than six of you. Although, my friends and family all agree that the food is worth squeezing a few extra buns into a booth. The ambience is relaxing: a nice place to take a few friends or a casual date. I would definately recommend Rusted Sun to anyone looking for outstanding pizza.

They have the best pizza ever. Everything is fresh and the side salads are very tasty, the blue chesse and balsamic vinager dressings are so yummmmmy! The blue chicken and buffolo calzones have lots of flavor and also are very tasty. Great Music and a great staff. Go eat there now!!!!!

Rusted Sun is the best that SLC has to offer. No they won't bring it to your home. You do have to eat it there or get it your self. Great Pizza, Good Price, Great People

I've only been here once, but will definitely return. It's small, cozy, and the atmosphere really reflects the name. The most impressive part of all was, of course, the food! Yum!

There's not much more that can be said for this little storefront pizzeria. The pizzas and calzones are DELISH and the service has always been great. It's not a place for large groups--they only have like, 3 4-person boothes and 1 round booth that can maybe sit 4-5. There's a picnic table outside, but it's not the best b/c State Street gets loud. Either way, go enjoy the pizza!

If you like really spicy buffalo wing sauce, then try the Buffalo Chicken Calzone, you won't be disapointed!
