Description

This is the place to come for authentic Greek flavors. Voted No. 1 by City Weekly , locals know what they are talking about. The gyro is the most popular item on the menu, but feel free to try a shish kebab or saladnothing here will disappoint you. The price is incredible considering the size of a meal and taste. For just USD5, you can taste what people in Salt Lake are raving about. No liquor is served at this restaurant.

If you love feta, you'll love their salads. With or without chicken, they're great! HUGE! I eat them for dinner and breakfast.

Love it. Love it. Love it. It would be in your interest to arrive before noon or after 1PM for lunch on weekdays, as lots of people know how good this place is and getting a table can be tricky at times (but never impossible).

Exceptionally good deal with a Chicken Souvlaki with fries and pita bread. Fast service and always genuinely friendly.

excellent eats
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/6/07
The gyro was delicious, and the food is very inexpensive. We need more Greek Souvlaki restaurants around that are closer to get to, but really awesome food!

This place is easily my husband's favorite place to eat. When he is upset, I only have to mention the name and he can't wipe the smile off of his face. He loves the gyros. I like the chicken soulvaki with salad. I believe they call it the low-carb special. Very delicious and very affordable. It is family-run and the service is always nice. Family friendly too. This is the original one in downtown Salt Lake City. I haven't tried the others, so I can't vouche for them, but this one is great.

The gyros are fantastic. They give you rice, salad, AND fries with fry sauce and it's all wonderful. I've also has the pastitsio and lentil soup, which were also delicious.

The best Greek in the United States!
By Brad, 11/5/06
I have had greek food everywhere I have lived. I have tried it whenver possible, because, I love the flavors and spices. I love all mediterranean food. I will say unequivocally that this is the best greek food, be it, a beautiful dining experience or a cool fast food, which this is a fast food style diner. Everyhting is great and if they made a samplers plate I am there. Do not leaves without getting the Dolmates (stuffed grape leaves) they are the best in the world, better than any others I have ever had. Better than any Dolmas I have had. I have had Lebanese, Palestinian style, but, this Greek style from Greek Souvlaki is worthy of taking a pile home to reheat later. The Gyro's are perfect. The sauce is great! If you are in Salt Lake City in early September go to the Greek Festival at The Greek Orthodox church, the food is great and it is fun. When you get hungry the next day, go to Greek Souvlaki. It seems like the greatest greeks settled in Utah because of the mining. And people just think of mormons in Utah. The Greeks are have brought their gold there also, and it is the food!
