The thing's I will give to Caputo's is they do have a great atmosphere and the food and prices seem better than granatos but they do not have enough meat in their sanwiches, the bread is too hard, there is always a long line, and they still are fairly pricey not worth a wait in line or the ten dollars you will drop on lunch. I reccomend Mediteranean Market or Groves Market.
Located across the street from the Rio Grande Train Depot and Pioneer Park, Caputo's has oneof the best lunches in Salt Lake! Cool urban ambiance--exposed architectural elements, an open kitchen, and walls of windows, and outdoor seating.
They don't use cheap ingriedients in their sandwiches. For example, the balsamic vinegar they use on them is an actual 12 year old. Turkey is real, not pressed. Try the meat ball, it is worth the pound you'll gain.
On the down side it is quite a bit more expensive than Subway or Quizno's, but well worth it, and you actually can meet the owner when you go in.
