Benihana - Salt Lake City
Prepare for a dining experience unlike any other. Watch as your personal chef performs the ancient art of Teppanyaki. Listen as razor-sharp blades slice through tender steak and juicy chicken. Take in the aroma of sizzling shrimp, lobster and savory vegetables. Or visit our sushi bar, where your sushi chef will prepare fresh nigiri, sashimi and specialty rolls, all with the same flair that made Benihana a legend in Japanese cuisine.
THIS PLACE SUCKS!!!
The worst experience ever! Once we were seated, we waited for 30 minutes for someone to come and assist us. WORST server ever. Atmosphere was horrible, it was like being in a zoo. Loud people everywhere, the tables are so close together, no privacy whats so ever. Bathrooms are filthy and very dirty. The cost of our bill was not worth the food or drinks. CAUTION: DO NOT BUY ALCOHOL(shots). lol... Do not shower before you go there, as you will need to take one right after due to smelling like burnt food and onions! NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN!
I go there almost every week and they have the best sushi.. their teriyaki steak and chicken is just too damn good not to order everytime i go there..
its a bit pricier then other places but if you want good sushi then this is the place
I can only speak to the Sushi bar, and I'd rate it 3.5 out of 5. Excellent, friendly staff, but not the most diverse menu out there. All the standards are present and the food is decent, but it's not like Sakura Sushi (more authentic) or Go Sushi (more creative). However, I eat here a lot as they have unbeatable lunch specials and an all you can eat sushi dinner. Bottom line: great deals, great staff, decent fish.
I have lived in salt lake city for twenty five years and have loved the Benihana in town. The last visit I had about two weeks ago was a terrible experience though; I watched a manager scream and yell at the servers throughout our entire meal. Most of the time he was in the back, but you could still hear him acting like a child. My wife and I have spent alot of money at this restaurant in the past and were absolutely apalled of the behavior the last time we dined there.
Way fun and great food!!!!! I totally recomend it for a special occasion. It is really fun for birthdays!! The chefs are so talented and humerous. They will make sure the whole table is having a great time.
So there are a couple of restaurants that are similar to this one in the valley, and they are good, but not Benihana good! They serve great food with original tastes and the chefs do a little presentation while they cook that is so entertaining! This is The best Japanese in the valley for sure!
I saw the chef blantantly ignore a request that a customer at our table gave because this customer was allergic to a certain food item. It was shocking to how poorly this restaurant treated this customer.
