I ordered a malibu chicken sandwich for $8.99. It came with a small side of rice. The chicken turns out to be spongy chicken, like what you would find inside of a chicken nugget (look at picture). When the manager was making his routine rounds, I asked him if I paid $9 for a chicken patty. He said that you now have to order it to get real chicken by asking for the California Malibu Chicken . He was adamant that I accept a voucher, but he never came back. I didn t plan on using it, but stay clear of this place. It s extremely over-priced and the service is below par
Food is good, but only an average number of choices. Last few times I was there (since 1998 through about 2002), they had music too loud and 3/4 was not typical for a laid-back atmosphere. I asked my server if they would change the station. She came back with a definite NO from the manager. I asked if they could at least turn it down. She came back with a definite NO. I swore I'd not go back again, but I have been back two or three times just because others have insisted. But, not recently.
