Just enjoyed sharing six sushi rolls with my daughter at the Pagoda and it was wonderful! Every roll was absolutely delicious, with beautiful presentation. Customer Service was excellent. Our favorites were the East Brooklyn roll and the Spicy Tuna Roll. However, it was all fantastic. We are sushi lovers (understatement) and will be back to enjoy what they have to offer. Prices were between $5-$12.95 for what we tried. Can't wait to come back to try more.
Only one negative: it was cold in the restaurant. but it seemed to warm up a bit by the time we left. Take a jacket inside.
The recent revamp of Pagoda has been awesome! The sushi is so fresh and so innovative. The new decor is inviting and much better than before. If you haven't tried this great chinese/japanese food in a while, you must try again. As good as any Utah restaurant in the Salt Lake Valley!
we ordered take-out--gave them the requested 30 min prep time and still waited 15 min at restaurant to actually get the food--the stir fry wasn't wrapped and the sauce got everywhere!!! overpriced--small portions--$10 for one egg foo yung!! really!! they were out of steamed rice and we got one small box of fried rice for a +$60 order--first and last time!
Try the combo for 2 runs about $30 + tip
includes fried shrimp, fried rice, teriaki ribs, chow mein, fried chicken, egg foo yung
NOT TOO HUNGRY?
Just get the teriaki ribs with white rice
the tempura is ok too if your not too hungry
I ate here 30+ years ago as a kid on vacation and now, I went back today for the first time. The food was pretty good. We had the Sweet Aioli Prawns ($6.95) for an appetizier and they were incredible. I can't believe how tasty they were. I had the Chicken Teriyaki & Shrimp Tempura ($16.50) and it was good. My wife had Chicken Teriyaki ($14.25) and my son had beef teriyaki ($16.75) and my daughter had Chicken Chow Mein ($11.95). They all said it was good. The chow mein portion was very large and my daughter could only eat about 1/2 of it. The problem was the service. We got there at 5:00pm on a Sunday and it rapidly got crowded and our waitress was EXTREMELY slow. It took forever to get served and once she finally brought the food, we never saw her again until she threw the bill on the table and disappeared again. If you are in no hurry I would say it is still a good place to eat...30+ years later
I realize that this restaurant has been around forever but I do not understand why. i recently went there with my to be in-laws for dinner and they got almost every dish. I had to try not to vomit at everything i looked at. I tasted almost everything but none was the least bit appetizing. The noodles are tasteless, the meat sparse and unappealing and everything is drenched in clear mucus sauce.
I Love Chinese food and oriental foods, but this place should go out of business
