Carlucci's Bakery, Salt Lake City

Sandwiches were fresh and pasta salad had unique flavor and was ample in size. Desserts were ok, but didn t have that wow factor. The woman at the cash register was a bit terse. The woman who took our order made a mistake and the woman at the cash register blamed us. It was really poor on her part. She served us a cup of coffee that we didn t order and made a big deal over it. Even though we really enjoyed the food this left us with a negative vibe, so we probably won t return.

Wow! My sweet wife and I were visiting from Philadelphia when we stumbled upon Carlucci's. We did not expect that lowly Salt Lake City (no offense intended) had such a fabulous Italian bakery. The food, service, and price were fantastic. I had a roast beef with garlic sandwich on a thick baguette with a side of Cuban black bean soup. My wife had the Baked Tofu sandwich with a side of the Gazpacho soup. Even 3 months later I can still remember how my mouth watered. I asked to speak to the manager … but instead I spoke with the owner! She was dusty with flour, but still had time to speak with me. While I don’t visit SLC often, Carlucci’s will always be a stop for me.

I love Carlucci's! Where else in SLC can you find Cannollis, tiramisu, pignolis, pizzelles, awesome organic locally roasted free trade coffee? NOWHERE. Service is wonderful. It�s in the Italian district with an awesome fish and Italian market next door.
