Red Rock Brewing Company

Description

A converted warehouse is home to this fun-loving brew pub. Exposed masonry and wood framing create an unusual, but welcoming ambiance. The Red Rock offers great ale, cream soda, root beer and ginger ale, so that every thirst may be quenched. Enjoy the simplicity of a spicy pizza with a glass of Amber ale or rotisserie chicken and a glass of Nut Brown Ale. For dessert, indulge in some brownie pudding with a glass of oatmeal stout.

Great place, great food, and excellent service. We ordered a strange beer that the waiter immediately steered us away from by offering us a free sample (it tasted like soap) and then introduced us to her favorite beer which quickly became ours. It was a great experience and we like our waiter a lot.

The home brewed root beer and cream soda were very good. It really is more of a restaurant than a bar, but it serves more pub style and/or quality food. If you go, go for the home brewed drinks, not the food.

Food was fine. I understand the alcohol laws in Utah, but I had a porter and it wasn't very good. I wouldn't visit for the beer, but where would you in SLC?

We had the opportunity to visit 3 times over a week. Food is excellent; beer selection is great. Service ranks at the very top. We'll definitely return next year when we are in Salt LAke City.

Best Dining Place in The SLC
By NateC, 8/14/07
Few resturants offer such a great atmostphere and quailty of food . If your on a first date or a buisness meeting Red Rock will impress you and your guest. And one thing that I have notice that is different is that you can buy the old style jug with their brew in it. I dont drink but I have friend that must stop and pick up some whenever they are in town.

Fantastic food and beer, great location
By Don, 11/3/05
Red Rock was the first brewpub I ever visited and it's where I began my love of microbrewed beers. It's one of my three favorite brewpubs. The beer selection offers something for every taste, from light to dark and full-flavored, and complements the food menu perfectly. For non-drinkers, there's a selection of house-brewed sodas as well, definitely worth a taste. The pizzas here make a wonderful light meal for two after a concert or other downtown activity, and the weekend brunch menu makes for a nice change from the usual chain-restaurant breakfasts. Small outdoor seating area at the front is exceptionally comfortable for watching the city pass by as you sip a pint over dinner in the summer months.

Great Beer, Great Food, Great Atmoshpere
By Keith, 9/26/05
Try a Polygamy Porter and some Fish and Chips. The beer is made right there on sight and is out of sight. The food is high end bar fare and you can always catch your favorite sporting event.
