I went to Johanna’s Kitchen looking for a good home cooked meal and that’s exactly what I got. The owner and waitress told me to try out the pot roast dinner, so I took their advice and ordered it. With it I got soup or salad and a scone or dinner roll. I decided to try the Caesar salad which was amazing!! It’s not your usual Caesar dressing there is a really good lemon lime zing to it. Then I got my pot roast dinner with a good portion of pot roast, a baked potato and vegies. Everything tasted amazing the pot roast was very tender and juicy. Then came the scone I could only fit a few bites in because I was already so stuffed from my dinner but I have heard so many good things about the scone I had to try it and it was worth it. The scone was great topped with the home made honey butter and the home made raspberry jam. SOOOO GOOD!!!! I would really recommend going here the food and service was GREAT!!!

I go to Johanna's kitchen every couple of weeks. I like Johanna's because the food is always good. I have tried 7-8 different items and they are always cooked to perfection. The portions are large, and I feel like I get what I'm paying for. The servers are nice and seem to know the menu. I recommend Johanna's to anyone that enjoys a good home cooked meal without all the work.

I have driven past Johanna's in Sandy several times, and my boyfriend and I decided to try it. The restaurant has been here for a long time and is popular with the locals. Johanna's serves breakfast all day, too. They have really good flavored and specialty drinks- My boyfriend ordered a creamsicle soda and i decided to try a 'Mexican Fanta'. I ordered the pot roast dinner because it was the early bird special that evening. The dinner included a ceasar salad, which i greatly enjoyed. It also came with a scone on the side. Now let me tell you, the folks at Johanna's KNOW how to do a good scone. The pot roast dinner was very well portioned, and I was also impressed with their homemade mashed potatoes. The early bird special came with a freee slice of pie, so i decided to try key lime. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. Im glad we decided to stop by and i will definitely be back!

unbelievable! great food and great service. i have eaten all over the valley and this place is by far the best for breakfast, lunch or dinner. the servings are huge! the prices are perfect! and the atmosphere is relaxing. plus great orange juice and coffee.

I remember going to Johanna's Kitchen when I was younger and thought I'd try it out now that I'm older and I must say that my memories didn't fail me! The food is better than I remember and the service was great. The waitresses talked to my family like we'd been going there for years! I really liked that I could choose what kid of meat I wanted with my salad. The menu is all about options. My oldest son decided that he wanted a bacon guacamole burger and it was right on the menu. My little ones liked sitting in the back because there is a train that circles the walls, they got a real kick out of it. The down home cookin' and the down home feel made our dinner really cozy, just like eating in a quaint little diner. I will definitely be going back and would recommend Johanna's to anyone!

I remember having breakfast here while on a business trip back about 1998. What I remember the most is everything was made from scratch. I ordered french toast with a side of biscuits and gravy. The biscuits and gravy were both made from scratch as was the bread used to make my french toast. I am a big breakfast fan and this is one of the finest breakfasts you can get. Plus, it's been a Sandy institution for at least 60 years and does not have the look of a Denny's or Coco's. It is a homey eatery with a friendly local staff. If you ever visit Sandy or Salt Lake proper, you should make time for a breakfast at Johanna's. It is certainly worth the time and effort.

I love this place! You always get the best and fastest service! They give me unlimited drinks! Their food is so great! So, why did they have to close so many stores down in Utah? I have a hard time believing they were ever hurting for business, I hope this is not so!! This is down home cooking in an era of pre-fab eateries. Scones made from scratch and a familiar menu make this comfort food at its best.
