Blind Dog Grill
Named for a family dog who lost his eyesight after a car accident, Blind Dog has grown and expanded over the years but still maintains the same family feeling from when it got its start. Tasteful wood paneling decorates the walls and a fireplaces adds a warm feeling to the room. Blind Dog has many accolades to its name, specifically noticing the wine selection, and steak, and the crab cakes. There is also a sushi bar for those who enjoy a more rare meat. It is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 5pm.
Terrible food, Bad Service, Incompetent Management. How this restaurant is still in business amazes me. The hamburger was over cooked and cold i mean beyond well done. the sushi was inedible and served wrong. the waiter refused to fix anything actually to get him even to come over took 20 minutes. the management refused to do anything. i eat out like 6 nights a week. this is the worst service even rude i have ever had. go anywhere else. avoid this restaurant at all costs.
We had 7:00 pm reservations for New Year's Eve and were seated promptly. Our waitress was friendly but ditzy - didn't bring glass of wine for 15 minutes after ordering, couldn't keep fondue pot lit so it went cold, didn't notice we needed new silverware with our entrees....slow! I ordered $32 entree of 2 crab cakes that were burnt and very greasy. My husband's $32 filet was unremarkable and not a high quality of meat. Between the less-than-stellar service and VERY mediocre food, we will not return. We're sad - 3 years ago this was a nice place where you didn't mind paying more. But for the $100 we dropped on dinner, we had a very sad experience.
Do not waste your time. They are just about out of business. Food quality is just terrible and the service is some of the slowest I have ever experienced. The chef probably couldn't even make a decent frozen pizza, which I would recommend over eating here.
The Blind Dog offers 2 types of dining which we liked. We sat outside...lovely and were able to order from either the grill or the sushi menus. Attentive service and an extensive wine and sushi lists were pluses. the crab cakes and sushi...tres bien. the steak was fab to look at but average in taste. would return for the sushi. In the front entrance, guests have posted their dogs' pix...how sweet....anyone who loves doggies must be nice.
