Awesome food! Sandwiches are some of the best in town the break is baked fresh daily and taste incredible. Portion sizes are Huge, and their pizza beats everybody in town even superior to the pie pizza. Oddly enough its all pretty affordable but the quality is far beyone anything youd find in normal fast food or even most restaurants. Cookies and peanut butter bars are awesome and way big too. I recomend the hell out of this place!
The giant cookies and pizza by the slice are to die for. You can also order specialty pizzas ready to go or take and bake style. The turkey sandwich on sourdough is also wonderful. Only downside for me is that it is so far away - but well worth the drive!!
This is one of those wonderful little mom and pops stores that I've been going to since high school instead of school lunch. At $3.50(ish) for a slice of pizza a drink and a big cookie it is a value that can't be beat. Don't plan on sitting down and eating your lunch there, its carry out only. I've found if you don't like long lines beat the lunch rush and go at 11AM or 1PM. Their sandwiches combos are generously sized and will fill the hungriest person. Try the dry salami on squa (is that how you spell it?) bread. You can mix things up get have a sandwich with soup, or get have a sandwich with a salad. Or skip them making your lunch buy a loaf of their freshly baked bread and make a sandwich to your own taste. They also have many types of freshly baked bread that I prefer to just eat with plain butter. My only complaint is that there is only one. Yup Its been around longer than ten years but so far there is only one. I find it worth the drive even with gas prices at what they are now. Whoever was whining about being snipped at when making the phone order was probably trying to place an order during peak time. It's about efficiency folks, not your long winded whining. I'm glad their short, I get my sandwich faster that way.
They make super tasty food. I have yet to order something I didnt like. And it is SUPER cheap, like amazingly cheap. It is a little out of the way for me but I always make a special trip to village baker. I wish they had punch cards cause I'd earn a free sandwich every month.
Village Baker has the best Sandwhcihs & Pizza around. However their customer service is sorely lacking. Calling in an order they are really rude on the phone and don't pay much attention, so you might want them to read it back to you to make sure they got your order right.
