Garcia's Mexican Restaurant, Layton

You have to be kidding. This place is so Americanized it kills me, I have had better Mexican food at Chi Chi s. It was bad and the decor made me wanted to throw up. Plus the salsa was bland.

Garcias has been a favorite of our family for years. There endless, delicious chips, salsa and bean dip that are free with any meal. The chicken tampico, Pollo fundido and chicken enchaladia stack is the best. Menu has also been updated with new dishes. Amazed it has any negative reviews.

My husband and I have been going to Garcia's for years. We really like the food. One thing I like is that you can get the standard Chimi, taco, enchilada, etc or you can get one of their unique dishes with a mexican flair but not something you'd find anywhere else. I love the Shrimp Ajo Grill. It's $13.99 but I can easily make 2 full meals out of it so it's worth it to me. The Seafood Fundido is another one of these uniquely delicious meals.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Layton. Our food is always perfect and the service is terrific. We eat here at least twice a month. We enjoy taking friends from out of town to this restaurant and they always comment favorably. Deanna

I personally love Garcia's! When I was pregnant, I had to stay away from peppers and stuff like that, and every other place that I would order things from, I would ask not to put peppers on my order and finally at Garcia's they listened! I have never been disappointed! I always want to go there! They have good Mexican food for a very decent price!

The quality of both the food and the service has declined in the past year. We used to go there quite often but I don't even want to give it another chance now.

It's not really authentic mexican food, but the items that they have listed on their menu's good. The service was even more impressive when my date complained about a mix up. They gave her the wrong platter and forgot her dessert but still charged us for it. I've never tried fried ice-cream until that night. That was very interesting and delicious. For the error, they ended up giving us 2 dessert items and not charge us for it then apologized for the inconvenience. Great service! I'll definitely go back there. But I'll be sure to bring a different date next time.

Good but not Authentic Mexican food. This is best for those that haven't had real Mexican food. It is good just not authentic which is my favorite.

MY HUSBAND AND I GO THEIR. WE ALWAYS GO AND GET THE PLATTERS THE LARGEST ONE WHICH IS $12.00 A PEICE BUT AS MY HUSBAND IS A LARGE EATER HE CAN EAT HIS AND 1/2 OF MY PLATTER CAUSE I DONT EVEN GET TROUGH IT. IT IS QUIET. CALM. SERVICE IS GREAT. DRINKS ARE BETTER. THEY ALSO HAVE A LITTLE BAR.
