Hudson's Hamburgers, Coeur D'Alene

I compare all burgers to Hudson's burgers. I grew up eating these and my family has been going there for years. Although we no longer live in the Northwest anytime any of us are remotely near CDA we stop in to Hudson's..and it's always the same great taste. You do not get alot of topping choices but that's what makes it special the simplicity of it the burger is so great it does not need alot added to it. Definitely worth going to if you are nearby. It's always packed on the 4th of July and during other major events in downtown CDA but worth the wait!

Absolutely great hamburgers. Made from fresh ground meat, the patties are formed by hand, not premade. The ingredients are simple and the meat makes the meal!

Terrific hamburgers--you choose--cheese, soda and pickles/onions/both. That's it. No more choices. That's why they've been in business for more than 100 years! Don't miss it if you are in north Idaho.

I don't understand the attraction. The meat patty is good but the bun and the rest o the burger fixungs are pathetic. It's a novelty only. It's not even in the top 10 of best burgers I've eaten.

Classic Burger Place: This is a place you HAVE to visit. I was there on business, and in a suit (overdressed to say the least) and it was not only one of the best burgers I have ever had (and I love In-n-Out) but has a location and crowd similar to what you would get if the Billy Goat Tavern was in the northwest.

It's like being with family going into Hudson's for a hamburger! Elbow to Elbow!! It's more than a tradition to get a hamburger there every summer, it's a real treat!!!

Not to order fries! Hudson's has been on Sherman since 1903 or so. Pretty good track record ehh ? They have been written up by every food critic from USA Today to The Inlander. beware of the hot sauce!! The Huddy burger is the best I've ever had...well except maybe for maybe that one time in Maui at Cheeseburger in Paradise....I think the atmosphere there might have topped Hudson's but the burger didn't.
