What awesome pizza good atmosphere nice lil ma and pa shop I brought my brother from new york to certify classic big apple style pizza me and the kids loved it so you would not regret getting one of these pies good eats.
I have to tell you, this is my all time favorite pizza and I lived for many years in Los Angeles, CA. I never found pizza as good as this. They don't take credit or debit cards, so bring cash. The small inconvenience is worth it. The price is cheap and the pizza owns!!
Okay, so maybe I haven't been to the east coast or Italy or Chicago before, but Guido's in Boise is the best pizza I've ever had! My wife and I found this place way back in '98. It was actually are first date or outing if you want to get technical about it. Anyway, both her and myself agree that it's the best pizza we've ever had. We've also taken other people to this place whenever we're in town and everyone's agreed as well! The service is great! The place is cool with it's tribute to all things NY and Italian! And the pizza is fantastic!!! If you live in or around Boise, or are going to be visiting, hit this place up for lunch! It's small and hard to find, but just ask the locals and they'll point you in the right direction!
This ain't no Pizza Hut, thank goodness! but don't come here looking for gourmet pizza. This is real, authentic NY pizza. Since I am a former resident of NYC, I can say with all honesty that Guido's does make authentic NY pizza, compared with all those other fakers out there who only THINK they can recreate the best.
Guido's is also one of Boise's best kept secrets! It's virtually a hole in the wall. I would never have known it existed if a friend hadn't taken us there. The basil and cheese seems to be the regular favorite and mine too. Located right next to the Flying 'M' coffee house and only a short drive from BSU, this pizzaria is at a prime location for college students.
By the by, did I mention they serve pizza by the slice here? True NY authenticity! There's also a pretty good selection of bottled beer and the usual fountain sodas. The decor is a tribute to NY's sports teams, celebrating both the Yankees and the Mets (is that legal?) and of course the Rangers.
And incase you still don't believe me that it is that good, I'll add one more point. I live in Nampa, but I am willing to drive the 15 miles into Boise, just to get Guido's pizza. Dine in or carry out, you can't go wrong with Guido's pizza.
