After 12 years in Boise, I wandered into Goody s. Goody s almost reminds me of the soda counter at the Drug Store in days gone by. The ice cream is perfect in taste and texture; the environment comforting and great care is taken to deliver a perfectly assembled tasty treat. Only two things fall short of perfection. The staff was more involved with behind the counter personal conversations than interacting with customers. However that did not impact service, just atmosphere. My second issue is flow, it felt a little fast foody when we had to order at the register rather than from a stool at the counter. All things considered, we re driving back to Goody s this afternoon for another AMAZING ice cream soda !
I agree with seniorriddle's , the SMELL! WOW! They could make money on it alone. THe ice cream selection is fairly standard, but the taste of the flavors is very good. I go whenever I need an ice cream craving satisfied ! The make all old fashioned goodies, haha, banana splits, sundaes, etc. and have coffee (when you are with someone who needs it NOW) The atmosphere is very pleasant... did I mention the smell :)! They have an amazing selection of candies / chocolates and other sweet or sour specialities -- yummm .. time to go, Ciao!
