We ate at Jaker's for the second time. We called in advance to make sure we didn't need a reservation and asked if they had a corkage fee. They said they'd probably be able to seat us within 15 minutes and they're corkage fee is $7.00. I've never paid so little for a corkage fee. We decided to drive over from our hotel room. Many Idaho Falls hotels are in the same location, near the Mormon temple and not too far from the airport. Our hotel was in this area, and much to our delight, so is Jaker's. We were seated within 5 minutes, even though they told us it would be about 15 minutes both when we called and when we arrived. While we were there we had scones, grilled cheese sandwiches for the kids, salad bars for 3 in our party of 4, lobster bisque, lobster alfredo, and prime rib. Everything was great; service, ambiance, food, etc. Because we live in Jackson Hole, WY, we're used to way overpriced food that usually tasted excellent. It was a nice change to have excellent food at a reasonable price. My only negative critique would be the grilled cheese sandwiches. The kids liked them just fine, but they tasted like they were made with sourdough bread. I'm not a fan of sourdough bread, and I doubt most kids are either. Still, what does it really matter. After all, the kids didn't complain at all. I'll probably go back to Jaker's every time I return to Idaho Falls, when time permits
while traveling with my daughter and dog we found Jaker's to be fantastic. Room service or eating at the bar was great. It was warm friendly and good. Cant wait to go again upon our return to california!!
If there is one thing that I can count on, it is having an excellent meal at Jaker's. I have yet to leave there and feel disappointed. Their service is excellent and the food is always done to perfection.
