we went in saturday afternoon. we were seated and given menus and then just left their. they sat someone next to us and they got their food ate and paid their bill and was all done and we still had not been waited on. we were getting ready to just leave when a lady came over and finally asked if we had been helped yet and we said no. she did go try to find out who wa supposed to be waiting on us, it was probally another 10 to 15 minutes until someone came over, i bet we sat their for over 30 minutes before that lady even came over and then this time to. we were not happy. we did finally get to order and then we waited for the bread and salads. then we sat and waited again for our food. and the resturant was not that busy, so i dont know what the problems was. then our waiter pretty much ignored us. we asked for a knife to cut my husbands steak never got it and never got refills on our soda. we also asked for our check and boxes when he finally came back to the table. then we got to set their for another 20 to 25 minutes just waiting for that stuff. i won't be back. we got stuck by the kitchen in a table next to the window and forgotten, i was going to ask one of the manager's for our check and boxes never saw one. as far as i'm conserened they should of paid for our food becasue of the horable service we received. never got anything not even when the waiter finally brought us our boxes and check. an apology and discount would of been nice. i can make the same food at home and get better food and service. we are owed an apology and a gift certificate for a dinner. not sure if i would go back though.
I'm a seafood junkie and i loved the seafood alibatiea...... don't know what it's called exactly but it was amazing.(first time trying it) Spicy, lots of shrimp, calamari, scallops. they even added capers and subed angel hair for me. My wife(by the way was her b-day 1-28-76 when we ate there) had the baked mostacciolli, she loved it... the service was awesome, as well as the atmosphere..been here lots of times and it just gets better and better. a regular stop when i come to town. You guys are awesome.
Tomatoes is the best restaurant EVER! and the staff is never ending gorgeous people... Food is fabulous and service is awesome. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a romantic dinner setting.
Hands down the worst restaurant in Twin Falls. I would prefer McDonalds over this place. The most unfriendliest bunch of people I've ever had serve me. From the hostess to the server to the bartender. My coffee was cold that i ordered and the server strangely wasn't around to get me fresh coffee. I had to ask for the hot bread, which was COLD when i got it. I had to ask for silverware and I received my appettizer. The food took forever, then was sent back because the server got our order mixed with another tables who had already started eating ours then we had to wait for ours to get cooked AGAIN!! I called the manager over and explained to her the situation of how we were treated and how our service was. She simply said if we didn't like the food, employees, or anything else that we could leave and not come back.
My wife and I treat ourselves a couple of times a month to Tomatoes. The main things that keeps us coming back in their baked Chicken Gorgonzola. Normally my wife and I split the dish because the portion is quite large. The chicken is sliced nice and thin and the penne pasta is covered in just the right amount of delicious Gorgonzola sauce and is topped with melted mozzarella cheese. I kid my wife that this dish is BTS. As far as Tomato's as as a restaurant, it is very roomy and doesn't make you feel like you are packed in like sardines. We have sometimes had spotty service, and some of the waiters have seasoned our dish with pepper without us asking (that ticked me off) but at least the last 10 times we have been there has been great. One final thing that I think would help out is for the restaurant to serve their bread already sliced. The bread is sprayed with a little bit of olive oil on the top and kinda gets a bit messy trying to cut it. Also the bread is very soft, so it tends to squish as you cut it.
