L'Osteria Mondello Italian Ccn, Cheyenne

This rating is only for the pizza...never had anything else. BUT, the pizza is fantastic...authentic NY style pizza, thin crust, fresh toppings. It's a miracle that this place in in Cheynne, where the majority of the population think that the Olive Garden and Red Lobster equate fine dining. Not saying that this is fine dining, either, but it's authentic, delicious pizza. Maybe the owners, workers are a little loud and odd, but that's just their Jersey roots showing. We like the character, as Cheyenne usually has none. As for the people giving bad reviews, chances are they'd rather eat at the olive garden.

My wife and I have come here a few times, thought the food was decent enough to return but the service left much to be desired! The last time we went marks the last time we will ever go. It was Valentines Day and I had made a reservation assuming they'd be busy. Came in, walked passed the owner and an employee who were making pizzas in the front and stood at the restaurant entrance.....FOR 20 MINUTES, without a single person approaching us. The thing is, there were maybe three tables full in the restaurant and a buss boy or something said someone would be with us...that was at the 10 min mark, at the 20 min mark I was pissed and we left. I called when I got to my car and told them that was the last time they'd see us, whoever it was couldn't care less and that was evident in his voice. Pizzeria Venti is better food, awesome service and they actually care if you come back! Cheyenne is too small for bad serivce! Mondello's need to get a dose of act right!!!!

I miss the Northern East coast Pizza and when I found Mondello's I was very pleased in their home made style pizza that reminds me of home. Unlike the chain pizza places or buffets the taste is fresh and you really don't need to pile on the 'extras' just to make it taste good. A plain cheese pizza is delicious! Since then, I have had their eggplant too and I enjoyed it too. I won't go to any other pizza place in Cheyenne to eat, I have found my treasure. Thanks Mondellos!!

Absolutely terrible service by both staff and, most of all, the owner!!! A dear friend of mine was in town. Decided to bring a bunch of friends together at Mondello's. Big mistake. The owner was not happy to get a 10ppl table without them calling first !?? Then, my friend in honor sent back her food since it did not taste good at all. She was never offered anything else (note that she had only taken a few bites) and was then presented with the bill - full price!!! She then mentioned to the server and the owner that she was not going to pay for something she never ate. The owner then got very defensive and started to scream at her, that she at least have to pay for half. If not, he would call the cops! My friend was basically scared into paying the $9 for something she sent back to the kitchen. Awful!!! I was a restaurant manager for a few years in L.A. and I have never ever heard of such a horrendous treatment. I have now vowed to never ever go back to that restaurant, Mondello's, again, and to make sure that all of my friends will stay away as well. Just a note to the owner: Bad reputation will spread like rapid fire... Good reputation is much is much harder to come by, and I think you should be ashamed of how you treated your customers that day!!!!

Not the best place in the world. If you eat in the back the food is a lot better then the front but its still not the best. I hate the pizza but the salads are pretty good, but every time I go it seems like there is a lot of drama and tension and sometimes a little yelling at each other. Its not the best place to go to for a relaxing meal. You would probably be a little more relaxed at Olive Garden and their bread sticks are amazing.

Absolutely the best food, the best service from CJ the owners son, and seriously fair prices! Great job guys!

Things must have changed based on the prior reviews. Ordered chicked in sauce, got boiled chicken with spices in the water it was served in. One of the worst experiencies I can remember over the last few years. If you like boiled chicken this might be the place for you though. I do not like McDonalds food that much but I would have been happier at McDonnalds. The food is only slightly better at Mc Donalds but for the price it is waht you expect. The only difference is that at Mc Donalds when you order a coke, it actually tastes like a coke and has carbonation. Here it did not.

Not as great as people said! Pizza taste a little cardboard like! I like it but was not blow away! I prefer Pizza Hut! I will give it a second chance and trying something different in the menu!

The pizza here is great! The Italian food is good I dont know if it's the standard here but my noodles were a little al dente and I wish they were softer, but it's definitely a refreshing change from all the other restaurants around the area. Our server was very good, however they need to hire more help because he was the only server in a packed restaurant so our food took a long time to get to us. All in all I recommend this place, It's a HUGE step up from the chain restaurants that invade the rest of Cheyenne.
