Awesome food, great service, good prices. Just a great American small town restaurant. I will always stop here on the way to Red Lodge.

I found the service and food to be typical small town America. Good comfort food at a reasaonble price. I did not find the problems that some writters belly-ached about..as far as service or cleanliness go. It was pretty good food and I'd eat there again. Thanks Granny!

Yesterday, June 8 '10,we asked a local for a dinner recommendation. They suggested Holiday Inn. We asked about Granny's, and were told it was the local greasy spoon. The Inn was more expensive than we wanted, so we went to Granny's. The service was very good in spite of the full house. However, when I went to pour water into the plastic glass I noticed it had some crud on the outside, which now also touched the glass it was stacked in. I told the host, who was seating a party nearby. The host was very nice, saying ,"that is disgusting." When there was a dried coffee drip on the cup the waitress was very nice and said she was sorry about that. When the meal came my fork had dried food in the tines. The host again said, "that's disgusting." The meatloaf seemed to be a burger patty; a very dry,skinny one. It and the mashed potatoes were smothered in a non-appetizing gravy. The mixed vegetables were good, as was the bun. We were very disappointed in Granny and think she needs some good kitchen help. We will not return, and hope we don't get sick. When we paid our bill the host asked if we found any other dirty dishes and said how sorry he was. Our meal should have been comped. Every patron has their own experience - ours was a negative one.

We used to come here often until they started ignoring my children. Yes the food is excellent but the service is awful! When I complained to the manager, he said there was no fault and refused to rectify the situation. He also said too that he doesn't need or want people who complain in his restaurant. So basically he refuses to offer good service to people with families and made it very clear that tourists are exactly that tourists and we, who moved here from another state, are just "transplants". If you want good food and people to ignore you and your kids go and eat there. For myself, I won't go back EVER again.

Rode through Cody, last August after attending the Black Hills Rally in S.D. Arriving at Granny's, I immediatedly felt at home. The service was great, And the food terrific. Did i mention the Local's...Awsome bunch who engaged me in conversation while dineing at the counter. Look forward to my next visit..Thank You

This place was excellent, keep in mind folks as you read a review like this the culture in the area and what 'may' be happening with the cooks. For a restaurant serving the people of Cody, Powell and other local cities and the huge influx of tourists this restaurant is wonderful. We ate there and enjoyed our meals so much that when I moved to Powell it became my local haunt for coffee and meals when going out to eat. The Cheddar Bowl for breakfast is particularly good, comes in a lil skillet type bowl with hashbrowns, chopped ham, scrambled eggs and a wonderful cheddar chesse sauce. Hint: Ask to go easy on the cheddar, lol. The food is divine for us Cowboys who are used to 'roughing it' for chow. As for city slickers, it is good food, wonderful price, and the meatloaf tasted wonderful. You won't regret stoppin' here.

We ate at Granny's for breakfast. It was great. The food was excellent and the prices were reasonable. You got a lot of food for the money. The bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner, but overall, the restaurant was great.

After reading everyone's review on this page, I was hoping Granny's would live up to it's expectations. I ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes. Hard to mess up right? Well, the meatloaf didn't even resemble meatloaf. It looked like two thin slices of hamburger steak. It had no flavor whatsoever. The mashed potatoes also had no flavor, and were not even hot. The dish came with mixed veggies, but they were overcooked, brown and soggy. The gravy was the only decent part, so I had to use alot of it to give the dish flavor. Service was just ok, and the bathrooms were fairly clean. I would not recommend going to Granny's.

Good food, good service, reasonable prices. Is not a fancy place, just good small town place to eat
