The Riviera was fantastic! My wife and I were there for the first time to celebrate our anniversary, we were promptly met and seated, our waitress was top notch, it was obvious that she was paying attention to our table throughout the night...as soon as we finished one course, she was there to clear the table and then almost immediately brought the next. Drink orders were taken and served quickly and we both felt as if we dined there every night. Excellent calamari, Prime rib to die for and the New York strip was almost fork tender and perfectly seasoned, perfectly medium rare, prime rib was devine... Hats off to you, Riviera and staff, you are incredible!
The Riviera is amazing. Brilliant wine list. The food is really fabulous, especially the Rack of Lamb, and Halibut. Menu is not overwhelming, yet has many choices. Solid kids menu. Outstanding service and atmosphere. I am lucky enough to be a local and the Riviera is consistently good. A fantastic dining experience, and I'm pretty sure they bake the brownie desert when you order it. Keep up the goods Riviera, we will be back!
the riviera was horrible! 1st off we were told it would take 15 minutes to be seated and took about 30 minutes. then once seated it was noticed that the platewear is cheesily outdated…trying to pull off a modern/contemporary look that would be cool in the early ’90s….not very practical either…very cumbersome and precarious, loud when the waitress slams and stacks them right by your ear as well.
after ordering we waited ONE HOUR before the waitress came and placed a small plate of ketchup on the table (I suppose for the fries) as a some sort of teaser…we thought we’d be seeing our food soon….we proceded to wait another 15 minutes or so until our food was served…..and mind you, during all this waiting the waitress NEVER aknowledged the inconvience and gave an apology…especially because our group was very nice and we waited very patiently
the portions were horribly small for the “fine dining” pricing
and to end it all….by the time were were leaving it was probably obvious by the looks on our faces that were not happy and the waitress proceded to say “sorry we are so busy” !!!!!!!???? should we have apologized for making her busier and giving them busy-ness? busy is the excuse???? how sad that the place is obviously not equiped for business….a sign that they must not be very busy often and don’t know how to handle it
ALL OVER RATING for the RIVIERA: F
Though the exterior is less than inviting, the Riviera Supper Club is easily the best fine dining restaurant in Glenwood Springs. Efficient, snappy service, paired with flavorful food in an intimate setting. Quite a nice surprise!
