Located right across the street from the Cinema and a few steps from Covered Bridge, Pazzo's Pizzeria offers one of the best pizzas in Vail. If you like the spice, try the 'Azteca Pizza'. You even have a bar where you can enjoy these tasty thin crust pizzas while sipping a beer. 'The Corfu' (a Greek-style pizza loaded with feta, black olives, tomatoes and fresh basil) is the restaurant's specialty. With loud rock music in the background, the high-topped tables make the place look like a pub. A favorite among the locals, the food is great at reasonable rates.
Actually, I've only eaten one thing, so the rest might be good. But, do not order pepperoni on your pizza. I often get pepperoni, so I expect some grease, but this was SO greasy, that I didn't want to eat it. I didn't enjoy it at all. And the crust wasn't even close to firm. I don't know, though, whether it was because of the grease, which was nearly dripping off the pizza, or not.
This is some of the best pizza I have ever eaten. I ordered the Azteca pizza and a garden salad. There are sliced fresh jalepenos and tomatoes on the pizza and artichokes (among other vegetables) on the salad. The pizza sauce tastes so fresh, too. I love this place!
