Traveling back to Denver and turned down Burger King, even though I was in a hurry, thinking it would be worth it. Instead I paid close to $3 for a kiddie burger, $1 more for cheese and $3 for frozen krinkle fries. I left only to realize my burger was empty (even though I ordered it with everything), salty (another reason I didn t want to go to Burger King) and the bottom bun was hard, like it was sitting in an oven heat lamp for too long. Worse off I waited 10 minutes for this. Awful, awful, awful. I recommend the Burger King just two places down.
This joint defines burgers in all their glory. Vicco's Charcoalburger has the best burgers I've ever eaten, with sizes from kiddie up to a Vic (Three Patties), it can satisfy everyone with patties that are each a 1/3 lb. Located on the outskirts of Glenwood Springs, when driving to back to Grand Junction, you can't miss this place, with smokestacks and a nostalgia shop owned by the same guy down the road. They are also supposed to offer some pretty decent malts, but sadly, their ice cream machine was broken when we stopped by. If you're ever in the Glenwood Springs/Aspen area, stop by and enjoy the best burger of your life. Also, if you don't like beef, they have buffalo, elk, and veggie patties.
