If you enjoy steak and sea food then this place is definitely a must-go. Jumbo prawn and lobster lovers will not be disappointed at this joint. In addition, this place has a list of red as well as white wine to choose from, some of them at a reasonable price. A great place to eat especially after a long day of outdoor activities. The place also has the largest salad bar in town for all those who believe in healthy eating.
My family and I ate here Sunday and were disappointed.
My rainbow trout was all skin and scales and no meat.
The appetizer were spring rolls that were dripping in grease.
Over-priced even with the 20% off my bill, and not kid friendly.
My experience was awful. Sorry.
Very disappointing service! I am a Vail local who has lived here and worked in the tourism business for 14 years. Which so many great choices in the area and restaurants fighting for business during this down economy, I was shocked at the the service we received this past week. I came in for dinner with a large group of friends for a special occasion on a slow night at the restaurant. We had two servers who were less than friendly - we truly felt like a burden to the one gentleman - and at all not attentive. We had to wait for drinks, to order, had an order messed up, and lots of confusion as to what food went to which person. When we tried to do some negiotiating over the bill at the end of the night, one of our servers - who had consulted with the owner - was flat out rude. The owner has yet to respond to complaints that were sent by several members of our group. In the future, I will choose to take my business to the other fantastic establishments in Lionshead and Vail that actually appreciate my patronage.
food is good. however i think his place is mixed up on what it represents. they don't have crabcakes which is weird and even though entries are 30 and above they have a salad bar which threw me off. the interior is nice and the food was cooked/prepared very well but presentation was slipping a little. the bread is microwaved and not par-baked like it should be, i know this because i used to work for that bread company. also plates were vastly smudged all over the edges before they came out, perhaps chef missed it?? runner was horrible and slamming plates down off center
-they charge for every soda refill
-a tad pricey
-service is poor if you are surrounded by big parties, we were a party of 2
-proteins are well executed. sides are questionable and probably mass produced as viewed by the potato cake and the ice cream scoop shaped mashed potatoes
