Japanese-inspired seafood and sushi, as well as an ultra-hip scene and lively bar crowd can best describe Matsuhisa Aspen. We are a continuation of Matsuhisa L.A., Nobu New York, Nobu London and may more locations around the world.

I'm not a huge fan of sushi normally. Last year I was flown out to Aspen for an interview and we ate at Matsuhisa. The food was amazing, the atmosphere intimate. I would recommend avoiding drinking too much saki if you are being interviewed though. :P I would certainly hit this place if you are in town and have some time!

Exceptional food and dining experience for all from the most sophisticated sushi lover to the novice whos prefers cooked fish. Child friendly and peaceful, yet bustling and posh. Worth every penny.

The flavor combinations were refreshing. The ambiance is exactly what you'd expect for a nice night out on the town in Aspen. Take it from a local, Matsuhisa is a great night out!

Surreal...

Matsuhisa is incredible. Growing up in California's bay area I see my self as a man who knows both sea food and, more specifically, Japanese cusine. Matsuhisa rivals Nobu in New York, Morimotos in Philadelphia, and any number of fine restaurnts in San Francisco (the latter names will be left out so I don't ruffel any feathers). Regaurdless if you come to Aspen and your looking for inovative Japanese cuisine you have to head to Matsuhisa.
