We wanted a nice quite place where you could have a conversation without shouting. A couple of friends suggested we try Fin’s. We were delighted. Good food variety (Steaks, Pasta, Seafood and Oysters) wonderful service and the Beignet pastry as out of this world.
This is my favorite place in Glenwood Springs. Food is great, friendly and caring staff. I eat here regularly and always enjoy the experience. I really enjoy the local musicians on thursday nights. Try the mussels for sure!!!
We had been told that Fins was a good place by our friend so we all went there together and ate. I will be brief. This place is nice inside but severly lacking in good food. We all ordered seafood and it was all overpriced, severely overcooked and cold. I got the scallops recommened by the server and it was four half dollar size scallops on a cluster of paper thin cut potatoes on a dish with a small amount of sauce. That was 27.00. I did not want to complain because the party with us recommened the place. Do not eat here. You can do much better anywhere than Fins.
Horrible service! My family and I were refered to Fins by hotel staff at the AmericInn after asking for a great place to eat seafood. The waitress made us wait at our table for 15 mins just for drinks; then wouldn't take our order yet when requested. We got our order taken after just under 25 mins of being seated. 1 steak was bloody when ordered Medium-well. All of the crab and mashed potatoes were served cold. Apparently sitting while waiting for the other entrees. By the way we didn't receive our order until 1 hr and 15 mins after being seated. Exceptionally irritating due to the fact that the restaraunt wasn't busy at all. After deciding to tip the waitress accordingly aweful; we were billed with 18% gratuity. I was appauled to say the least considering there were 7 people but only 4 were adults and the other 3 were children. One was 11, one was 4 and the other was a 2 year old infant (both which were sleeping). If 2 sleeping infants/toddlers are counted in the table serving 6; then society as a whole has a greed issue. The entire meal went on for an agonizing 2 hrs. I would never recommend this restaraunt to anyone with taste for good food or taste buds period!
If a restaraunt is going to require gratuity for 5 meals/table; then the customer requires quality service equivelant to their expectations.
We dine at this restaurant every year or two - trying to give it another chance to wow us. The entertainment was a nice touch. The front room/dining room could have better ambiance, perhaps table clothes. It just doesn't feel like a really nice restaurant. The food was pretty good, but not fabulous. The service was wonderful. Our waiter was great.
You may love it, and we'll probably give it another chance in a year or two.
