Serious Texas Barbeque North, Durango

My family and I were in Durango this past summer on vacation and decided to stop in for some BBQ. Being originally from Texas, but now residing in New Mexico,I know what good BBQ tastes like. This food was as good as it gets. The service and Texas hospitality was second to none. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone. To the staff @ STB, don't change a thing!

I'm a native Texan who's lived in Los Angeles since 1986, and by now I've eaten at STB at least half a dozen times when on vacation. I never return to California without at least one trip to STB. STB is not just barbecue at its best: I can attest that it's bonafide Texas barbecue at its best! On my last trip I discovered that the owner graduated a year ahead of me from the same high school in southeast Texas. Small world. Awesome food! :-)

Great food! We ate there for lunch on 13 May 09 and the food was teriffic! Additionally, the staff was polite and helpful. Got us our order in less than 5 minutes. I have nothing bad to say about the place. The next time you are in Durango, give it a try. I will!!!

the meats were good but the sauce is vinegar based and taste like it has a hint of orange in it, the bbq sauce was also too thin and runny for my liking. New Mexico has better BBQ.

Has to be my favorite in Durango. Friendly people and great bbq. Check out the locals specials during off season.
