Mark Reggiannini is a former sous chef for Jean Georges Vonrichten, and has a philosophy regarding food - simplicity. His rustic bistro cooking focuses on the use of local fine ingredients, prepared using French techniques. Private dining room and buyout options available. La Marmotte menu changes nightly depending on what is in season and fresh.
An imaginative and delicious Western twist on French food. La Marmotte offers a fixed price menu for $49 or you may order off the menu. The menu changes frequently and can feature such unusual selections as baked skate wings, shaved fennel and poached pear salad, and deep fried banana with caramel.
The service is the kind that makes you want to tip more than 20%.
La Marmotte is my favorite Telluride restaurnt. From the amazing wine list to the top notch, professional, but fun staff... it blows me away everytime. Their food is the bet in town.. try the Halibut and the blueberry crumble for desert. Can't miss..
With many locals recommending this restaurant it was easy to get excited about, but when it was all said and done a very average experience. An all too common story a young couple get together and start a restaurant, and they ain't gonna take **** from anyone. They may grow up and realize what service is, as for the food it is liek home cooked meals
