Only give one star because I can't post without. How they stay in business is a mystery.
Servers were not focused on service. We waited without being greeted and had to seek out a server.
After taking our order, the soup was delivered Lukewarm, as was the tea.
Appetizers we did not order were delivered. These fried wontons and egg rolls were cooked in old oil and were oily tasting.
The orange peel chicken was absolutely Inedible. It was overlooked and rock hard. We had to search for the chicken in these over fried doughballs.
The Mongolian Beef was mostly sautéed onions with slivers of beef.
General Tsao's chicken was similar to orange peel chicken.
The Fried Rice appeared as though it was merely rice cooked in chicken stock and nothing like fried rice we've ever experienced anywhere else.
The Chicken Fried rice was the only dish that appeared to be ok.
Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere if you want Asian food, this is not the place.
It was voted People's Choice for Best Restaurant in Lamar, and I couldn't agree more! I love their lunch buffets that's always hot and fresh! Unlike many of the other Chinese buffets that I've been to that just let the food sits there and gets soggy, you can tell that Green Garden cares for their customers and always bring out freshly made food. The sesame chicken is one of my favorite. It's crispy on the outside and hot and juicy with a sweet sauce. The egg rolls and wontons are crispy and not too oily.
As for the restaurant's atmosphere, it's great! There is a huge fish tank right when you walk into the restaurant, and there's this really cool fish table that you must see it if you haven't! Overall, it's beautifully decorated inside with many art work and candle lights.
Definitely check it out if you haven't been there!
