we go to jan's to eat if we passing though town and kinda of hungry we sometime had the experince like the other lady wrote about the place. we don't go there very often anyway! i agree with the other lady who wrote about the place! it reminds me of the golden burro in leadville! that place is about the same to me! jeannie from leadville colo

My wife got very sick after eating at Jan's. We stopped at the Chaffee County Health Department later and read their inspection reports. We will never go near that place again!

We eat at Jans several times a week. It is the BEST! After eating in there for many years we have never been sick from the food. Like any place we have had something re-done but not very often. We love the food and the people!!!!!!

This restaurant was reccomended by fellow travelers, but we were very disappointed in the food and the service. As restaurant owners ourselves we made allowances, but we will not visit Jan's again.

I drive 30 miles to eat here on my day off about once a week. Best breakfast in the area, I recommend Saras sausage with cheesy grits. Mmmmmmm. First place I tried Rocky Mountain Oysters. They also have a full bar that is even open for breakfast.
