Windmill Restaurant, Salida

We ate at this Restaurant over the weekend and I must say it was the best meal of our entire weekend. Great service, atmosphere, and food. The Chicken Parmesan was AWESOME!! Country boy here knows his food and this was a good place to eat.

Fantastic A-1 Food, and service! Will go back asap. Sometimes they get very busy. Don't knock 'em....they are GOOD, and try their hardest to make right! Delish. Want more.......MCH, From Port Washington ,WI 7/24/09

After coming in with a youth group from Kansas, we weren't greeted very nicely, our salads weren't served till after our meal and only then when we requested it. Then the waitress made a negative comment about the other waitress because she didn't bring the salads. The Greeter was very rude and refused to split checks for youth group kids. Some were paying cash, others credit cards. She wasn't even hospitable about finding tables for us. The interior all seems too dark, dank, and dirty. After two seperate experiences with this place both with groups we will not be back. Their reputation goes back to Kansas and several years back.

The Windmill has some of the best food Salida has to offer.
