Sweeney's Fine Dining, Durango

Avoid at all costs. It is out of the way, only the hostess was nice and the food was awful (and pricey). The service was slow even though the place was dead. The hostess was extremely nice but the watress was rude. Once she realised we were not getting desert their (the meal so bad we did not want to chance it) she ignored us until we left. My advise AVIOD!!!

I lived in Durango for a year and ate at sweeney's frequently. You must try their blue cheese dressing on the salad...delicious. After practically filling up on the salad their tri-tip is awsome especially the three pepper sauce. I've had every steak dish on the menu and they have all been fantastic not to mention the atmoshpere is perfectly romantic and comfortable. When we moved to Utah I would make any excuse to come back to eat at sweeneys now we live here again. YES!

I have been going to Sweeneys for over 30 years, and I love it! The decor is so warm and charming, the service is great, and I love the food! My favorites are the Southwest Calamari and the crab. The salad is the best in town.

The food can be really good, but it swings too often towards mediocre. Plus, the service is usually lousy. Compared with other places in town that offer the same menu and dining experience it is not someplace I would recommend.

It's such a great restaurant!!! First they'll bring you this great big salad bowl. ANd then it's dinner - delicious... The prime ribs, the salmon and sea scallops are so good...Oh! forgot about NY steak! I love that estaurant! I DO recommend this restaurant!
