Texas T-Bone

We went to the Texas T-bone on South Academy and we had an excellent expierence. Our wait was short even though they were busy. The food was great and the service was excellent. It was our first time there and we left feeling like we were regular customers. We highly recommend it!

Bring your appetite! I ordered the sirloin tips from the light menu and I still couldn't finish it. They start you off with a small warm soft loaf of light wheat bread (with cinnamon-honey butter on the side). For the salad you get to order 5 toppings and they separate each one by sections -- all in a good sized stainless steel bowl. Then the meal came with a large baked potato and garlic toast bread. The tips came with sauteed mushrooms and Jack Daniels sauce, and the steak was cooked just the way I wanted it -- only I couldn't finish it so I surrendered to a take out tray so I could have something good for lunch the next day. The waitress was really sweet. I highly recommend this place!

Best Steakhouse we have eaten at in a long time. We are from TN and they just dont have steakhouses like this one. We were greeted from the minute we walked in the door. Very cozy environment. The waitress was extremely nice and checked on us as much as needed. The food was awesome. My husband had a t-bone and I had the Top Sirloin and they were both some of the best steaks we have had. My daughter had a blast. They gave her one of thier big balloons and she just loved it. The manager checked on us twice to make sure everything was good. Best service in town by far. Everyone was very nice. Food was delicious. Baked Potatoes were my favorite. And thier salads are also good. My husband loved the bread. Overall was the best. Would reccommend to anyone in the area.

We have been there twice now and have truly enjoyed the food, the service...and the peanuts. Very nice atmosphere. Our porterhouse steak both times was very very good. We love the salad - select what you want in it is a great for us, and the baked potato was wonderful. It was the best steak we have had in Colorado Springs except for Mackenzie's Chop House (which is quite expensive and we save for very special occasions). We feel it is much better than Steaksmith, Texas Roadhouse, Outback or Saltgrass. The prices as reasonable.

My family and I went to Texas T-Bone last night. Oh my gosh. The good: Said it would be a 45 minute wait, maybe had to wait 20 minutes. The salad even though it didn't include everything I checked the boxes for, was good. The sweet tea was good. When I finally got the steak I ordered, it was good. The bad: The poor waiter knocked over my tea glass and it went everywhere. Took about 5 minutes to clean it up because he couldn't find anything to wipe it up with. While he was cleaning up the spilled tea, he knocked the salt shaker off of the table. It being glass, it broke and went everywhere. After all was cleaned up and all of the other patrons were watching in amazement, commenting, and laughing, we were able to complete our order. Our salads came without the 5 add ins that I and my son had ordered. I was told it would be another hour before they had cheddar cheese or pepper rings for the salads. I asked about the mushrooms. He said he was sorry. About 10 minutes later I did get the cheese and mushrooms, never the pepper rings. About this same time we got silverware (ours had been drowned in sweet tea) and I finally got my tea. We asked for the baked bread loaf like all of the other tables had gotten. We finally got the bread. Our dinners came out right after this. I had ordered the Ribeye, I got the Prime Rib. The gentleman that brought out the dinners (not the waiter) said to start snacking on this dinner and that he would bring out the ribeye. This same gentleman pointed out this error to the waiter. The waiter actually disagreed, and said that he thought I had ordered the Prime Rib. Got the Ribeye about 10 minutes later. A manager brought it out. He wondered why I had the Prime Rib and then did offer to take it and box it up. I asked him for steak sauce - he asked me what kind - I stated A-1 and that's the last I ever saw from him. About 10 minutes later, I finally got the A-1 from our waiter. The check comes, in full, with the Prime Rib on it instead of the Ribeye - a cost difference. I had to ask the waiter to only charge me for the Ribeye. I finally was able to pay the bill and get out of there. With such a bad experience, and no effort by anyone to try to make up for it, I unfortunately know that I won't go back. That's too much money to spend for that kind of experience. Sorry Texas T-Bone : (

My sister and I went into the new Texas T-Bone location on north Academy where to Bennett's Bar-B-Que place was and we didn't have the best experience. First she ordered iced tea and waited ten minutes before the waiter came over to say that they didn't have any tea in the restaurant would she like water. Ummm, no she wanted tea! Then the awesome salads came out, which were really good but a bit too big to be a dinner salad and we both had trouble finishing them. We both ordered bar-b-que. I ordered sausage and brisket and they were both cold when they brought them out..........and might I add the sausage wasn't good.......it tasted and looked like turkey sausage, and I had three strips of brisket on my plate.....it was sad for a $15.00 plate. She ordered ribs and they were cold too. We both sent our plates back and the manager replaced the cold items but by that time our sides were getting cold. We loved the other Texas T=Bone down south but we were both completely disappointed in the new location. We both had to send back our food and besides replacing it with food we just had to bring home we weren't compensated at all for our poor experience. They definitely need to work on the food and customer service at this location. It was disappointing at best.

When you walk into this establishment you are treated like family. My husband and I have been here about 5 times and we love it. The management comes over to greet us at the door and they give us change to try to win stuffed animals from the grabber machine for our girls. They always check on each customer to make sure they are satisfied. The food is excellent! They have the best steak and burgers in town and it is not a far drive. You rarely have to wait for a table. The margharitas are excellent also. I know they have new management and evidently they know what they are doing!

Just got back from t-bones and must say that was one of the best steaks and salads ever, They came out with a steal mixing bowl of salad and let you pick all the ingrediens from cheese to toppings, after getting overly stuffed on salad my 18 oz ribey came out...wow delicious and a good value, This is the only place in town where you can get a 28 oz porterhouse steak that aint going to break the budget.PS the keylime pie is divine.
