We used to be enthusiastic diners at the Colorado Springs location of the Elephant Bar. We even used to buy Elephant Bar gift cards at Costco. Last year towards fall we noticed the quality slipping at the Elephant Bar in Colorado Springs. We had a salad and it was moldy so we informed our waitress and the manager came over and we told him we did not want to make a big deal of this and he offered to buy us dessert. We were satisfied and let it go at that, realizing that mistakes happen and that was that. We went again before the holidays and the service was mediocre and we felt the food quality was just so so. Yesterday we decided to give it another try as we enjoy the tempura salmon rolls. My wife felt that the rice in our salmon rolls seemed to be at least a day old. Our guest ordered a burger and my wife and I decided to split a one as well. Our very negative surprise came when the burgers that we and our guest were served were from pre-made frozen patties. This was something never before experienced at the Elephant Bar. Their burgers in the past were delicious and fresh, not so yesterday. The service was poor as well; it took 25 minutes before our drinks arrived and all we had was iced tea. This is not at all what it used to be. My wife and I wondered if the Colorado Springs location is under new management since we have noticed a general decline in standards since last summer. We were in a hurry so we did not tell the wait staff or the manager of our concerns. At this point we do not intend to return to the Elephant Bar again. Too bad, as I mentioned before, we used to consider the Elephant Bar to be a good experience and a good value. When the economy first started to slow down it was one of the rare places that was full. I guess with the continuing decline in our economy, the management felt that it was ok to lower their quality standards, but with times being difficult we have decided to spend our time and money at other restaurants where quality still matters.

This was the second time we've gone. We had decided not to go again, on our first visit because the food wasn't good. I had ordered some pasta dish and they were out of pasta on a Sunday afternoon! Really?!? This time we went because we had gotten a gift card. Decided to try it out once more, giving them the benefit of doubt. We went on a Saturday night around 5:30 and still had a 30 minute wait. I got the ribs...they tasted boiled not double flame kissed as the menu says and this time they were out of crayons which didn't make my kids, ages 2 and 6 too happy. Nice of them to give a coloring menu to them with nothing to color with! Seems like someone needs to take an economics lesson on supply and demand since both times we went they were out of something! After the $25 gift card was applied our bill was still over $40, for a family of 4. Too pricey for the quality of food, which needless to say left everyone in my family with stomach aches as soon as we got in the car! We won't be going again!!!

if i could give it a negative rating i would, as we walked in they argued with us about getting a childs seat, waitress argued that we should just leave her in car seat. then she proceeded to push us rapidly through our meal down to 8 check ins in 15 min. then she was in such a hurry to get us out the door that she didnt serve a course that was ordered, when asked about it ( we were charged for it ) she informed me that i had to tell her at the beginning of the meal. when i talked to a manager she confronted me about no tip and used coarse language. meal not comped for rude service, no apology, only snide looks. ( child ate quietly through whole meal ) i will never go back.

Nice atmosphere. Wide variety of menu items. Great kids meals, healthy choices, reasonable prices! Good iced tea, which can be hard to find. Love the BBQ pork sandwich.

LOVED IT! Affordable (drink prices are around $5 for mixed frozen margaritas). Normally at other places I've gone, I've paid up to $12 for ONE drink! Plus the food is delicious and priced right. We used coupons that came in the mail, and got a jumbo coconut shrimp platter with mango sauce for $11! The lettuce wedge is to die for. Went there twice so far and every time we have had a wonderful experience. Fancy motif with great food and service to boot! Try it out!

Went to this location last Thursday - peak time 1700 (5pm) and was seated immediately - Kudos - asked host's to clean table as there appeared to be a coffee stain and she was appalled that I asked for clean table and made me point out what I thought needed to be cleaned - and then she only washed the stain not the whole table - need to talk to Manager

During my honeymoon, we had dinner at Elephant Bar Restaurant without really knowing what to expect. The ambiance is spectacular, the music is wonderful, and the food is delicious. I was very pleased with the menu selection. Service was great. A must try!!
