On the Border Mexican Grill, Colorado Springs

My least favorite mexican restaurant in town. Their enchiladas were the worst I have ever had, awful sauce in my opinion. If you want good mexican food go to Fiesta Jalisco or Pablanos out in Falcon.

My family and I have found our new restaurant. I am orginally from San Antonio, TX and I must say, it may not be completely authentic, but if you are looking for a fine Mexican food restaurant that is family oriented, then look no further. I love their salsa and fresh tortilla chips. I wish the table was a bit bigger to accomadate their large portions of food however. We even have our favorite waitress, Christina! She is wonderful with the kids (age 9 and 3). We try to go there as often as possible. For a family of four we normally spend around 45 to 50 dollars which is not that bad this day and age. We love the atmosphere and it being so close to home. Look no further for great mexican food. Afterall...if you wanted authentic, then you need to go South of the Border and stop complaining, it's Colorado Springs after all.

This place has the best salsa in town!!! Their chips are always warm and fresh and I just can't get enough of them! If you're looking for something low fat try the Chicken Tortilla soup it is outstanding, it has the perfect blend of peppers, seasoning, veggies, chicken and rice....and the bowl is huge. I do have a suggestion for you....skip trying anything with the ground beef and go straight for the shredded beef. It is tender and juicy and nearly melts in your mouth. The flavor is much more robust and in my opinion, more filling as well! For dessert you must try the Dulce De Leche Cheesecake.....this creamy carmel pie is like being served a slice of heaven. Don't waste your time anywhere else looking for a good mexican restaurant....On The Border has it all!!!!
