El Taco Rey, Colorado Springs

This place has the best mexican food in town and they are very helpful and friendly.

I ate lunch, had a burrito combo, it was smothered with green chili and came with rice and a salad. It cost around $8.50 and I thought I was in store for a nice sized meal. The burrito was of small size and the green chili was thin and bland. The rice was overcooked mush, like oatmeal. The salad was shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes, like that for a topping on a taco. Over priced slop is the best word for this place, maybe it was a good place in the past or I came on the wrong day. There are a 100 other mexican restaurants in the springs area and I'm sure 99% of those will be a better bet for quality food.

This place is INSANELY good - especially the tamales! It's the one place in the Springs you really MUST visit.
