Front Range Barbeque

Description

There is no mistaking this pearl of a restaurant as being a chain. Located in a residential house, you almost wonder if you must knock before entering. The interior is tiny and is divided into three separate rooms. The small bar with one small TV looks like the kind of thing you would find in a fraternity house's basement. Yet, it drips with refreshing character. The menu, as expected, features barbecue ribs as well as other tasty dishes such as catfish and red beans and rice.

Front Range Barbeque

Average food and terrible service. Waited over 20 minutes for a piece of pecan pie after eating. Finally asked if we could just have it to go. I won t be going back.

BEWARE! The good reviews for this place are rigged, ifyou don't believe me, try this place out for yourself, but beware that it will be a serious waste of money!! Seriously, this pork and chicken is NOT SMOKED LIKE BBQ SHOULD BE. IT IS BOILED and flavorless! It is the grossest bbq you can find. While we were there, there were some mountain rednecks that were gawking at how good the food is. We were expecting it to be good, got it and the meat was soggy and flavorless, sides were icky and cold & no mac n chesse, um this isn't a real bbq place! The meat was so bad, no one ate it and it was a huge waste of 45 bucks. Do NOT go here, the people who gave this place good reviews have OBVIOUSLY never had good food in their lives! Disgusting and will NEVER give this place another shot again!

We had a very good bbq lunch at the office a week ago, but I didn't know where it was from. So I searched BBQ in colorado springs, and decided it was the one with the most reviews... well the pulled pork and pulled chicken tasted like it was boiled. No hint of BBQ whatsoever. It is the worst BBQ I have ever had. If I want boiled pork or chicken, I would've done it myself at home. The reviews on here must be rigged in my opinion. After I find out where the GOOD BBq place is, I will repost. I will do this within this week.

As stated earlier, best BBQ outside the south! Maybe even better than the south. Small relaxing place with a large patio for dining out. The inside is relaxing with various artist playing on the stereo, both lyrical and acoustic. Large selection of food and micro brews. The staff is awesome, no rush for you to pay but always ready with a refill of your pint or the best sweet tea in CO. If you're in the area you would be doing yourself a great injustice not to stop by.

This is the BEST barbeque outside of Georgia! Combine that with the fact they not only know what SWEET TEA is, but also how to make it, and they serve Coca~Cola...WOW! What's not to like?

Great BBQ for Colorado
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/3/07
My wife and I are on vacation and we wanted to spend some time in Colorado springs for the day. I looked at the revues the night before for some of the local resurantes and saw that most of the folks who come from great BBQ towns liked it and so we thought we would take a chance. We're not sorry we did, our server was very polite and attentive to our requests. We have a 13 month old and were very impressed on how he and the kitchen were flexible in making a special plate for our our young child and only charging us for one side dish. The prices were really reasonable for the amount of food you get and we had a great time. Also the food is not over spiced. It comes to you very tender and moist and the homemade sauces are really great. The best nake ribs I ever had. It would be a sin to cover them in sauce. Two up to Front Range BBQ. I recommend this place to any one who likes great Q and will most certainly return again. Thank you Front Range for a great dining experience in the Spings!

Good food
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/10/07
One of the best places for ribs and pulled pork. The food is always fresh. Portions are more than enough ~ if you go home hungry it's your own fault. The service is good if they aren't too busy. Otherwise, plan on a bit of a wait. My favorite dish ~ front range salad, topped with pulled pork and the roasted red pepper salad dressing.
