Edelweiss for Anniversary

Different and great (if you know you like german food!). We will take visiting family there in the future, but will probably not venture back just by ourselves. Good food, excellent service - quaint family style atmosphere. Not romantic, exactly, but we had lots of fun - if you're looking for a quiet place, this is not it.
I'm a picky eater, so a salad served with cold scalloped vinegared potatoes, pickled cucumbers, pickled cabbage and cold pickled beans over leaf lettuce and topped with a tomato wedge was not exactly my style... I got the weinerschnitzel - pork was perfectly cooked piping hot - but the veggies on the side and the potatoes were not. Not sure if they were supposed to be though.
My husband got a sour braten and he ate every bite - he loved it.
German chocolate cake for dessert was probably worth it all by itself - YUMMM!
Check was VERY reasonable for two dinners, two beers, an Iced tea and dessert! Large portions, too.
