Save me from bad italian
I am a local and have been to Bisetti's 5 times (for some reason, I keep giving it another try).
I have ordered a variety of items, but have thus far ended up disappointed. The pasta is often overcooked. The quality of ricotta in raviolli is not good. The salad was adequate but not fresh. The redeeming feature is their chicken parmesian, which was tender. Their deserts are acclaimed so much they have their own cheesecake factory, but I make my own cheesecake, and I really don't think theirs compares.
It is very romantic, and lots of wine helps.
I find that small parties are often ignored. LONG wait time for check, every time.
For $18 a plate (without wine), I expect MUCH better.
Fort Collins has many italian restaurants. I would strongly recommend Caninos or the Catacombs, both 3 blocks away. Or for other areas of town, Carabbas, Pulcinellas.
