Yokohama Sushi and Hibachi
As one of New Jersey's finest Asian dining establishments, Yokohama Japanese Restaurant provides an exciting menu and a wonderful atmosphere in which to enjoy it. For more than 15 years Yokohama owner Cindy Chan-Sze has proudly served quality Asian cuisine in Burlington County and has grown intimate with the food and people of South Jersey. Her son Kenneth Sze, now part owner, has come to bring inspiration and creative Japanese cuisines to Yokohama. Kenneth, having supported of all his mom's restaurants, has been vital part of Cindy's lifelong achievements and has come back to his long life devotion to food that brings flare to the tables of Yokohama. Though it's their vision of a Japanese restaurant inviting both tradition and new ideas that shapes Yokohama, it's the customers and dedicated staff that breathe life into it. Our experienced cooks, skilled sushi chefs, and friendly waitresses bring out the love and passion of our food. All that's left is for you to experience it.
This is the best Japanese Restaurant in the area. I have frequented Yokohama for many years, even before the opening of the steak house. The staff is very friendly and the service is great. Ambience is warm and comforatble.
Owner Sindy and son Ken have truly made this a great place to dine. They know their repeat customers by name and everyone is always greeted with a smile. The Sushi is always fresh and portion sizes are good. I have tried many items from their menu and have never been disappointed.
I hosted a Rehearsal Dinner of approximately 32 people for my sons Wedding and the menu that was offered was excellent. Great variety and excellent service. I highly recommend Yokohama for anyone who would like to experience Japanese Cuisine for the first time or for anyone who is an old hand at eating Japanese food.
I can't believe this place was just down the street from us and we overlooked it for all this time. Fed up with the less then friendly service we've received at another local sushi / hibachi restaurant, this place was the most pleasant surprise. Even those that think the edamame is a waste found it yummy here, the sushi was fresh and delicious. We only indulged in one specialty roll, a Godzilla roll that was perfect. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff were personable, helpful and a delight. We will definitely be back and were excited to hear of their plans for expansion to include a hibachi area and bar (as they currently have a liquor license). Definitely worth a visit!
been going to this place since it opened, it hasn't changed and doesnt need to! Best sushi resturant in the area and I've been to alot of places.
Friendly staff and excellent service, good portions, great ambience, and above average taste. they really know their repeat customers by name too!
Great for lunch, really good for a date, and excellence for family with kids - never had or sen any issues or problems. A++++ in my book
This restaurant is SOOOOOOOOOOOO under-rated, sits in plaza. Was referred to me, by a friend. Now I'm hooked. Love it, Quaint, service & seafood is fresh. must go, I'm addicted.. plus people there are friendly.. .Contrary to popular belief, not all of them are Japanese.
This and Yoko's on route 70 are the best Japanese restaurants around. The food, service and ambience here are outstanding. The servers are really friendly and people you can get to know.
I'm not one to sit around in sigh-bore-space writing reviews, but in this case I felt compelled to share my experience.
