Penelope's Old Time Burgers, Estes Park

No, really. At least at McDonalds you know what you are getting over 90% of the time. Penelope's can't make a burger to order, plus they put pepper on the burgers themselves w/o informing you. Oh yeah, and McDonald's is 2/3 of the price to get what you ordered and not wait so long for a greasy burger and fries. Do yourself a favor, go elsewhere.

Dont be fooled by the tempting commercial on t.v for this place. My family and I recently ate here and we were not impressed. The hamburger was flat with no taste and the buffalo wings were by far the worst I have ever tasted. I would have rather eaten at the McDonalds down the street, especially for the price we paid for it.

Visited on 7/5/11. While the young lady that took our order was kind, the rest of the experience did not lend itself to a repeat visit. Filling of orders took far too long, was overpriced and not very good. In fairness the burgers were okay. Fries were overrated. Do not ever,ever order fish fillet as it was very greasy. The staff lacked the ability to fill orders in the order in which they were received. We visit Estes Park often. We will not be visiting this place again. Too bad, because they could do better.

NOT world famous- the staff was extremely rude, and some guy walking around in khakies acting like he knew what he was doing tried to hold everything together but in the process took it out on his coustomers. The place was also a dump! i think the town of estes park needs a re-vote on the best burger in town cuz ive had frozen burgers at the bowling alley that tasted better than this joke of a place. I would feel ashamed if i was the owner of this '' world famous'' joke. I recomend wapiti right next door to penelopes they have burgers worth your money they are actually huge and jucy and delicious!

I have eaten brats,mets and hotdogs all over the country and I have to say the elk brat was one of the best I have ever had in my life.The buffulo burger was adverage,The reg burgers are great too.

I dined twice here on my recent trip and enjoyed it very much. Both times I had burgers and fries. The food is great - kind of like local fast food. It's very informal and relaxed and a good spot to escape the business of downtown Estes Park

My husband and I love Penelopes. We stop by every time we go up to Estes Park. In fact, sometimes we just crave Penelopes and think about driving up there just for lunch. They have mouthwatering burgers and fries for a great price. They're located on the end of the downtown area just as you're heading out toward the National Park. Their setup is more like a eat-in or take out restaurant so don't expect waiters.

Word Famous? You have to be kidding. On a par with Mc'Donalds and much worse than In N Out Burger both of which are fast food restaurants. I was not the only one maiking fun of their slogan when I was there either. I almost left my food on the table and walked out. If you go, pick up a fry and squeeze it and have fun watching the grease drip out.

I walked in right at closing,not realizing their hours, and they were very nice. These burgers are greatness, and their french fries are perfect. I can't wait to go back.
