Bad Food, Bad Management. One taco didn't have any filling, just the shell. One chicken sandwich was missing the chicken patty. This was after waiting for an hour after our reservation. Manager came out and appologized, but didn't act very sincere. The rest of the meals that were correct, were bland and didn't have much flavor. We thought after the first bad experience a year ago it had to be better, but it got worse. Stay away.

Good selection of unique meats (Buffalo, Elk, Duck), so I have to give them at least one star for that! Service was average but friendly. Atmosphere was nice in the back side with a pleasant view. Overall, the food was typical, average Mexican fare but overpriced. I think anyone would do OK eating here.

Mexican
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/19/10
Mi Casa has been around for years. Great after skiing for happy hour. Always fun, good margs but can be crowded. Great location, perfect if you want yummy Mexican in Breck.

Amazing quality of food, fresh ingredients, they even make fresh guacamole at your table. The drink special for the evening we dined there was even an organic infused margarita. For Mexican this was a one of a kind experience, I've traveled to Mexico several times and this is a must do while visiting Breck. The atmosphere felt more like a high end restaurant, our table sat right next to a wall of floor to ceiling windows over looking the lake in the center of town. I ordered the shrimp rellano, my first time trying seafood at a Mexican restaurant. It was delicious, spicy with tons of taste, not just hot. My husband ordered the Buffalo fajitas, which he loved! I dont normally eat meat, but decided to give it a try, it was very tender and a nice flavor without extra spices added to the meat. Staff was above and beyond, for how busy they were, we still had attentive, knowledgeable, friendly service. Being a younger couple in Colorado (transplants from out of state) most restaurants service can be very fake and often depend on what class/status they presume you are. This was overall one of our best dinning experiences in colorado, couldn't have been more pleased. They also seemed to accommodated a lot of families with small children for those of you wondering about family-friendliness.

Food good, service weak
By Bluejay62, 3/31/08
We always make it a point to dine early at MiCasa to avoid crowds. Our only problem here is with service. This year our waiter first brought us a bill missing 3 items, but we pointed that out to him. No "thank you" or customer service gesture (like "the coffee is on me"). Next, he gave us someone else's change ($50) which was more than our total bill. Again, we informed him of HIS mistake. Then came the usual "Sorry about that" response. Each one of these steps took about 10 minutes, with the result that dining took 20 minutes, but leaving took another 20! Mi Casa benefits from a great location, but the #1 priority is customer turnover not service. Oh, and the pregnant hostess in the tank top added an "odd" touch, wouldn't you say?

One dollar tacos
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/21/08
You got it right, for happy hour, Mi Casa has dollar tacos! I got a couple tacos and also ate a lot of the complimentary chips. The margaritas were good, and also pretty big. They were very strong, and added with the altitude, hit me. The service was not very good. Our waitress forgot to bring our drinks until we were pretty much done with our meals and then took a long time to bring our second round too.

Not bad, but have had better...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/17/08
Mi Casa had some different items on their menu that you wouldn't normally find on a standard mexican restaurant menu, but I wouldn't say it was out of this world. The margaritas were just alright, mine was bit too strong. The dessert was great! I don't see Tres Leches on menus very often and theirs was fantastic! I would recommend this restaurant for a one time visit, but wouldn't suggest going back a second time. There are plenty of other restaurants in Breckenridge that would be worth your while.

Misleading Happy Hour/Rip off!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/15/07
Mi Casa boasts about their great Happy Hour with dollar tacos and discounted drinks. But what they DON'T tell you is you have to find a seat in the VERY crowded bar in order to par take of Happy Hour. Even after we were seated @ one of the few vacant tables close to the bar and told the waiter we came for HH we were told he couldn't honor it because we weren't physically in the bar (TOO CROWDED!) Dinner prices are too high, staff was hurried and rude and we just did not enjoy the place.Breckenridge needs another Mexican restaurant to give Mi Casa some competition!

Great place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/13/07
The food was great and reasonably priced. We came for dinner because it was close to our hotel. It was so good that we revisited the next day for lunch. I wish I could take the salsa home with me!
