Ian's Mountain Bakery, Granby

I spent a few days in Granby in late June and the highlight for our breakfast was sharing the recently baked goods from Ian's Mountain Bakery, which should be more properly named Ian's Fabulous Pastry Shop. The basic dough for his croissants and rolls was as good as any I've ever had; light and flaky without being dry. The cinnamon rolls with and without frosting were also delicious. I left town without having a chance to try out his pizzas but given his choice of ingredients and his culinary skills, I know I would have loved them. Next time.

The fouod is fabulous. His cones are as good as my mother ever made and I had a free one added because I was British. The lemon meringue was a pie to die for and the blueberry pie was out of this world. I've rarely come across anywhere where the food is genrally so good.

I love Ian's bakery. The pizza is GREAT! the croissants are fab! Scones are to die for, breakfast burritos..man... just everything there is so tasty! Thanks Ian!

Used to live in Granby- even threw some dough with Ian. Miss it so very much. Husband misses the ham and jalapeno scone with hot coffee for breakfast!

We stopped here to get some breakfast rolls and found that they had so many good things to choose from, it was difficult to buy just one thing. We bought cinnamon rolls and lemon rolls (danishes?) and they were so soft and delicious, they almost melted in our mouths. I wanted to try the scones too. I guess that will be for next time.

Ian's Gyros are to die for....... Eat one, you'll want another. Top it off with a scone... and your stomach is in heaven.
