The prices are very expensive for a place where you cook it yourself. The selection of product was of good quality, but they charge you for the sides even though you are paying what you would normally pay for a steak dinner at a steakhouse that serves you. Paying this kind of money I prefer the Ore House where they cook it and serve you without paying extra for side dishes. I Paid $36 at 8th Street just for myself. Not worth it, won't return.
I have to saym this was the worst dining experience I have ever had. OK, if you want to cook your own steak that is fine, but if you are paying prices like soemone else is cooking for you, give me a break! If you read the other reviews, mine is much the same. You order drinks, they come to your table, and of course you are nowhere near the table! You are cooking your own food!!! Rediculous ... I mean even from a business standpoint, who would have you spend 20 minutes or so cooking your own food when they would make more money selling you more drinks!
Everyone, do yourself a favor, do not go to this place. Try the Ore House instead.
The price of the steak (with no sides) is around $30. You take the raw meat over to a grill and you cook it yourself. This sounded like a fun experience, but we didn't like it at all. We had two kids with us (ages 4 & 7)and they weren't big enough to cook their own food. That meant that mom sat with the kids at the table while I cooked 2 steaks and some shrimp. Unfortunately, each of our items was supposed to be cooked for different times. There are no timers by the grill nor is there someone there giving any guidance. I ended up overcooking the shrimp and undercooking one of the steaks. I had to come back up to the grill and re-cook the steak. This happens to me at home sometimes when we cookout, but that's when I've spent much less money on the meat. After spending $30 on the steak, I was pissed that it ended up not being cooked perfectly.
I would much rather have someone else take care of this for me. And for the price, I would expect some sort of extra customer service at the grill or to include side items with the meat.
In summary, this place was very overpriced and very poorly set up.
