I've eaten at a couple different Mimi's ... the food and service are always great. So I called the Golden location to plan my son's wedding rehearsal dinner.
The manager, Joel, was incredibly helpful and easy to talk to! He made great suggestions and immediately emailed me a menu complete with the names of the Bride and Groom, the date and the price per guest. He gave us a great deal!! We are looking forward to this dinner in July and KNOW that the food and service during the event will meet and exceed Mimi's already high standards due to a fabulous manager!
I dislike the fact that I could not eat more because I was stuffed like my french toast. I like the design of the building itself. The crazy Spanish tile roof insinuates the treat that lies ahead. The inside is so fun and beautiful. The food is incredible and creative. You can tell that the staff is happy and intermingled. Mimi's is the all American atmosphere, but when you sit down you feel as though you have your privacy. I love this restaurant!!!!!!
I am not from Colorado, but we visited the state in 2003. When we were looking for a place for our family to eat, we opted for Mimi's. It is now my favorite, even though there are no locations in our state. :(
We enjoyed the Country French decor. The menu selection was unique. The muffins are outstanding. The deep fried pickles are a draw. Overall, it is a great alternative to the run-of the-mill family restaurant.
When can we see some Mimis in the Detroit area?
I love how the management and workers are so nice and helpful. They are always smiling. I love their food because it is so warm and kind of like home food because it is fresh! This place is really cozy and i especially love the lodge because of the fireplace!
The lines may get long sometimes BUT this is a plus and there is a reason for it, trust me. Try the toasted 5-cheese sandwich and then for desert there is a double mountain of chocolate with ice cream (can't remember the desert name tho). These two items alone are to die for!!
The menu is extensive and so far everything we have tried has been great, large servings and the staff is very nice from the moment you walk in. I rate this restaurant a definate A+++++
