Lazy Dog

Description

Sometimes establishments that bill themselves as sports bars are nothing more than glorified locker rooms for the local softball teams. The Lazy Dog, however, does not fall into this category. Jerseys and sports memorabilia are judicially placed so that they do not border on overkill. Televisions are prominent, but not to the point of being distracting to those who only want to dine. The dinner and lunch menu are the same and feature a host of Salads, Pizza, Pasta dishes, and Sandwiches. See their website for further information.

Great atmosphere, lots of tv's and the wings are awesome. The basic wings are good, my buddy had the island fire and they burned him twice!

My wife and I joined a group of friends there after a wedding reception. We had a great time. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was great, and the band playing that night was awesome. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who is just looking to have some fun, grab a bite to eat or just meeting up for drinks.

the food isn't worth your time
By ,
it didn't seem that the staff cared if you were there or not. the food was average at best. if you're looking to see a game, there must be places in town that would appreciate your business!

Bad BBQ
By ,
Didn't get a chance to go to the rooftop. Ordered BBQ, but they were out of both chicken and brisket. Got a pulled pork sandwich and it was very bad. Crusty, burnt strands of pork in a thick, heavy, carmelized sauce. Yuck!

good sports bar
By ,
summary: your usual sports bar, better-than-usual food! service could have been better right on the Pearl Street Mall of Boulder. when you think sports bar, you think tv's with the obligatory 'best games on', pool tables, the Lazy Dog is next door/ connected to a sometimes 'venue' that has live bands. the evening we were there was a Wednesday night apparently during spring break because the Pearl St pedestrian mall area was pretty dead/ very few folks walking around. we ordered a couple entrees, one of which included the signature Lazy Dog bbq sandwich plate which came with cole slaw and fries. the food was satisfying, the drinks were prompt. although we did not try the actual 'dinners'. they had Stella and several other choices on tap. however, after we received our dinners we did find ourselves looking around for our table server. she came by a couple of times during our meal, but by the time we were done it did feel like she forgot about us... or the Lazy Dog was short-handed due to spring break. if we lived in Boulder, we would visit the Lazy Dog again. other than the lopsided service, we had a good solid experience here.

WOW
By ,
This was a great experience. My husband and I ate at the rooftop part of the restaurant. The view was gorgeous. You could see the mountains, the town, and all of the people on the walkway below. What an atmosphere!! The waitress was great and made sure that we had a great time. The food was good and the spinach dip was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place for everyone. And definitely try out the rooftop.

Great sports bar!

Good food, lots of beer choices, not too expensive, and a great location on the Pearl Street Mall! Lots of tv's for your choice of sporting events.
